A la carte. Priced per piece.

Served with miso soup and a small house salad.
The single inspiration that lead to the establishment of Hatsuhana was nothing more than the desire to serve unsurpassed sushi and sashimi to New Yorkers. Nearly three decades later, the mission remains unchanged.
Obsessive attention to detail should be the norm for sushi restaurants, not something to strive for. The complexity associated with creating the ideal sushi rice, the fragrance of freshly ground wasabi, fresh fish from around the globe and understanding the proper crispiness and consistency of roasted nori seaweed are just a fraction of capturing the essence of sushi. A true sushi restaurant must also prioritize intangible ingredients such as dedication, passion, liveliness, and heart.

At Hatsuhana, they have come to realize that during recent years it has become a rarity to take a “no gimmicks, no frills” approach to sushi. Sushi as a cuisine is conceptually simple. Ironically, its simplicity also makes it most complicated. Hatsuhana’s refusal to abandon the true craft of sushi making is a salute to the centuries-old methods used by the prominent sushi shops and chefs of Japan.
Hatsuhana’s philosophy is that authenticity and supreme quality should never be compromised, nor will it go out of style. The restaurant’s loyal patrons seem to agree. But then again, they have such simple tastes; they are always satisfied with the finest.

spicy tuna roll was not spicy, nor did it come with the crunchies that I paid extra for. Tuna was slippery and not edible.

Terrible, terrible!!!! I waited an hour and a half and called twice. Both times they told me it was on its way. The last time they told me they were waiting for the delivery guy.... How long does it take to make cold food? I will never order from them again.

Amazing sushi. Great, consistent quality. Worth the premium price

I would give a zero if I could. Whenever I order from Seamless, I always add on an extra 10 mins to the delivery time before I pick up the phone to check my order. Big mistake for Hatsuhana because they apparently do not understand that they need to prepare the food ahead of the delivery time. They still didn't get to make my order that I placed an hour before. NEVER AGAIN.

Tempura wasn't crunch, but otherwise roll was fresh, service was excellent. A bit pricey for only 6 pieces.

Delivery guys call before they are in your building and they make you wait.

Not only did they screw up my order, but it was quite possibely the worst sushi I've ever eaten. Oh and the Gyzo tasted like was mush.

Hatsuhana is one of me regular go-to restaurants. I am guaranteed a level of quality in delivery that I've yet to see matched on Seamless. They aren't known necessarily for their delivery speed, but quality of food is very high. My favorite dish is the grilled teriyaki salmon. The salmon is always perfectly cooked: moist and tender, despite the fact that it has a delicious light-crispy char on the outside from the open flame. It is some of the best salmon I've ever had from any restaurant, let alone delivery. I highly recommend Hatsuhana to anyone looking for a solid delivery meal.

Superb! Great taste and presentation!

Well, the presentation is beautiful, but for half the price I get much, much better sushi in New Jersey! There is just no flavor in the sushi and the wasabi has a very strange texture. Not worth the money!

This is the best sushi I've ever had. I'm stunned every time. Sometime the delivery is faster than others, but it's always worth any wait.

Good quality of sushi. It'd be far better if they had the full menu featured.

Fantastic presentation in the little black box. Sushi always fresh. Hot towel is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Delicious sushi, wonderfully presented, no detail forgotten. Among seamless web's best. Order time could have been faster but probably a result of high demand.

Usually excellent sushi, occasionally, though, not-so-excellent.

Excellent sushi but lousy delivery service. Waited more than the maximum 65 minutes they allocte to themselves each time I ordered from them. Have also experienced incomplete orders - which is particularly annoying when you've waited for more than an hour.

This is the best sushi in NYC. Without question. This is the only restaurant on seamless that can be considered from a "presentation" point of view. The presentation of the food, even when delivered, is impeccable. The sushi is distinctively Japanese - fish size (NOT huge) - quantity of rice (NOT very much); wasabi is fresh not powdered; the sushi comes loaded with wasabi; the freshness factor is 10+: I've eaten here 30-40 times, and there are no misses. In short, if you want to learn what sushi's all about, you should go here!

Some of the best sushi I have had. Even the mushrooms in the Chirashi were superb.
